I am pleased to announce that I have been chosen to provide the music for Obama’s forthcoming inauguration as President of the  United States of America.   After thoughtful consideration, none of Obama’s (or McCain’s) favorite songs made my short list, but I did find the perfect music in the end.  If it was good enough for Luke Skywalker’s dad, it’s good enough for the author of Dreams of My Father.  It will be heartwarming to see Obama finally place his hand over his heart as the band plays on.

I was actually disappointed at first when the long-awaited blogburst finally arrived tonight.  Now?  On the Eve of Destruction?  Even I can’t keep my mind on the jihad or the Flight 93 monument just now, and I’m quite literally obsessed.  About the only matter on my mind—and, I’m sure, yours—is Tuesday’s presidential election, and this thing is a lot closer than polls have been showing.  Of course, it shouldn’t be this close, since one contender and his associates resemble Rasputin and his influence over the royal court.  Is there not a mountain of objective evidence to demonstrate that Obama is unfit for the office and unworthy of public support?

It turns out blogburst author Alec Rawls was in the hospital, so I certainly hope he’s alright, but there’s definitely nothing wrong with his critical reasoning faculties.  Today’s post is not only timely—it’s about Obama and the plethora of damning facts that have gone largely unreported by the mass media—but it shows how uncannily similar our electoral dilemma is to the Flight 93 memorial scandal.  In both cases, mountains of inconvenient facts and questions have been downplayed, rationalized, obfuscated, or simply ignored by those responsible for reporting the whole unvarnished truth and for asking hard questions in pursuit of truth.

In Shanksville they have simply decided that Murdoch’s monument is the only fitting memorial to the Flight 93 heroes, and on Main Street lots of likewise deluded and misled Americans have simply decided Obama is “The One.”  Alec doesn’t extend the analogy, but it can’t go unsaid that in Washington and in most of the rest of the free world our leaders also seek to suppress objective truth, refusing even to acknowledge the fundamentalist and dogmatic Islamic ideology that is at the root of all Muslim militancy and terrorism.  It goes unnamed and unidentified even though it is as plain as day.

We are told to ignore that Islamic fanatics are blowing stuff up and igniting conflicts in virtually every nation on earth, and we are expected to believe that Islam is, of all things, a religion of peace.

Truth suppression can give us a hijacked presidency as easily as a hijacked memorial

Lesson for the Obamamedia: threats you try to cover up will inevitably be realized

The “Obamamedia” is acting exactly like the Memorial Project.  Both are avoiding and suppressing massive evidence of hostile intent.  The willful blindness of the Memorial Project will only give us a humiliating but very survivable terrorist memorial mosque.  An Obama victory will give us a president who is committed to rapid retreat from victory in Iraq, to unilateral disarmament, and to making energy prices “skyrocket”; a president whose mentors are the Reverend “God DAMN America” Wright and domestic terrorist William Ayers; a president who is already engaged in systematic election fraud and who maintains extensive ties to Islamofascists while lying about his Muslim upbringing.  All of this is easily documented, and all of it is suppressed or whitewashed by America’s mainstream media.

The lesson of the Flight 93 memorial is simple.  Whatever dangers people try to wish away, they are going to get smashed over the head with, for the simple reason that they have closed their eyes to the threat.  They are ALLOWING it to proceed and smash them over the head.  It is the negative version of the lesson of Flight 93.  Heeding information from the ground that their plane was being used as a missile, the heroes of Flight 93 were able to stop the hijackers from reaching the nation’s capitol.  At the opposite extreme, efforts to hide the truth have turned the Memorial Project and the Obamamedia into enablers of evil.

The election fraud example

While the blogosphere is afire with the discovery that Obama accepts false-name and false-address credit card donations, allowing foreigners to donate and allowing everyone to evade campaign finance limits, the Obamamedia makes a front page “scandal” over the Republican National Committee buying a campaign wardrobe for Sarah Palin.  When the Washington Post can no longer justify ignoring the donation fraud story, they run a blatant whitewash, pretending that the McCain website has the same issues.  Then they run a second whitewash, pretending that Obama is only accepting false-name and -address donations from pre-paid credit cards, which everyone following the story online knows to be false.

Similarly for the massive and systematic ACORN vote fraud, and Obama’s years of close association with ACORN.  The press desperately tries to cover up extensive evidence that Obama will aggressively try to steal elections so that this information won’t keep him from reaching the presidency, where he will have the POWER to steal elections.  If this reality would only smash THEM over the heads, it wouldn’t be so bad, but it is ALL of us who are going to end up under the thumb of a Hugo Chavez-style election stealer if the media keeps suppressing the evidence that Obama IS a Hugo Chavez- style election stealer.

They don’t MEAN to usher in a usurper.  They just want a Democrat to win, and because they refused to report Obama’s negatives during the primaries, Hillary Clinton lost and they are now stuck with a Democrat that only Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright would vote for if the facts were known.  By the same token, the Memorial Project does not mean to build a terrorist memorial mosque, but because they have decided to avoid and suppress the evidence, that is what they are actually doing.

Pretending to have investigated warnings

Memorial Project Chairman John Reynolds dismisses the claim that the Tower of Voices is a year-round accurate Islamic prayer-time sundial by claiming that ANY tower with a wall around it can be used as an Islamic sundial.  When time for Islamic prayers comes, just mark the spot where the tower’s shadow crosses the wall and there you go.

Wrong.  Islamic prayer times are determined by shadow length, not shadow angle. Prayer time markers must be placed a particular distance from the sundial’s gnomon and must follow a particular arc. Chairman Reynolds’ misconception that Islamic prayer times can be marked by shadow angle proves that he never even looked at the sundial analysis (the subject of our last blogburst) yet here he is assuring the public that he has investigated this evidence of an al- Qaeda sympathizing plot and found it to be a false alarm.

Same for the Obamamedia.  They are pretending that they have vetted Obama when they have actually been protecting him from scrutiny.

How can it not be front page news that one of Obama’s closest political allies, his fellow Luo tribesman Raila Odinga, who rioted his way to the prime ministership of Kenya, is known to be lying about being a Christian?  It turns out that this man, for whom Obama traveled to Kenya to campaign in 2006, is actually a secret Islamofascist who signed a secret document with Muslim leaders in which he first declares Islam to be the only true religion, then promises to impose Sharia law.

None of this is in question.  The secret agreement became public when the Muslim leaders decided to brag about it.  You can read Odinga’s admission of the secret agreement on his own website, yet it has never been mentioned in our mainstream media, just as Obama’s own lies about his Muslim background do not get reported.  Testimony from childhood friends and from his own sister belie his claim to have been raised Christian rather than Muslim.

Deception is a virtue in Islam

It’s Obama’s deceit about his Muslim background that is damning.  The Koran allows Muslims to lie about their religion in order to advance Islamic conquest, and Obama knows the Koran.  He studied it in Arabic as a child (which is how he was able to sing the Shahada—the Muslim declaration of faith—for Nicholas Kristof in Arabic “with a first rate accent.” He was drilled on it).  It is the fact that he lies about his past and his associations that gives the clearest indication that Obama actually is a secret Islamofascist.

Just the other day he claimed not to know about his illegal alien aunt, when it turns out his campaign has actually been tracking her.

Obama actually seems to exult in deception.  Note the surreptitious fingers he gave to both Hillary and McCain.  The obvious explanation is that deception is a virtue in Islam, so long as it is in the service of Islamic conquest.  There is nothing wrong with tricking people in Obama’s mind because there is nothing wrong with tricking people in his religion.

Obama also has Nation of Islam people on his staff.  NOI is our own domestic Islamofascist group, specializing in antisemitism and anti-white racism (al la Obama mentor Jeremiah Wright, who champions NOI leader Louis Farrakhan).  One of Obama’s best dinner buddies is Palestinian terror supporter Rashid Khalidi.  Obama’s cousin/buddy Odinga gets most of his funding from Moammar Ghaddafi.  The terror ties go on and on, with all of it covered up by the Obamamedia. When Obama slips up and admits “my Muslim faith,” they even jump in to correct him.

If McCain possessed a single liability one tenth the magnitude of any of Obama’s, he would be gone in a week, yet a recent study shows that the media coverage of McCain has been twice as negative as the Obama coverage, even in the absence of any obvious negatives (beyond being much too far left for any real conservative, which is actually a positive vis a vis the radically leftist Obama).

Truth suppression can give us a hijacked presidency as easily as a hijacked memorial

Suppress evidence of Obama’s long and close relationship with domestic terrorist William Ayers and you get hit over the head with a president who has the same idea of “change” that Ayers does.  Hide the Obama-ACORN-Fannie Mae policies that caused the financial meltdown and you’ll get whacked with MORE meltdown.  Bury Obama’s declared intent to use the phony religion of global warming alarmism to cut off our energy supply and destroy the U.S. economy, and we will get a destroyed economy.

Just look at the Memorial Project.  In September 2005, when national controversy over the Crescent of Embrace first erupted, the Pittsburgh Post Gazette held a special meeting to discuss the discovery that the giant crescent (now called a broken circle) points almost exactly at Mecca.  (That makes it a mihrab, the Mecca-direction indicator around which every mosque is built).  Faced with this explosive information, the Post Gazette made a top editorial decision not to tell the public about the Mecca orientation of the crescent.  (Crescent of Betrayal, Part II, Chapter 6, p. 108).  As a result, we are still on track, three years later, to have a terrorist memorial mosque planted on the graves of our murdered heroes.

We are supposed to be vigilant now.  We learned on 9/11 the nature of our Islamofascist enemies, that they hide among us, pretending to be trustworthy friends while perpetrating acts of war.  Armed with this knowledge, as the passengers and crew of Flight 93 were, we think we will never sit still for a hijacking again.  Yet our media still hopes to gain advantage from truth suppression, and so we find ourselves today on the brink of having a hijacker take over the Oval Office.

One of the last online stories run by The New York Sun before they folded at the end of September concerned reports of an “October surprise” by al-Qaeda and other Islamic terrorists.  To many observers, it stood to reason that we could see a repeat of the 2004 Madrid bombings, which propelled Jose Zapatero and his Socialist Party to power, whereupon his first major act was to withdraw Spanish forces from Iraq.  Digital chatter on Islamic networks was hot when The Sun ran the story, so the warning wasn’t really all that outlandish.

The story was picked up by blogs and news organizations big and small, but despite similar warnings by Brigitte Gabriel (as I reported here) and others, the prevailing wisdom was that a terror attack before the national elections is unlikely because it could trigger support for John McCain, who it is presumed is the more frightful (to jihadists) of the presidential contenders.

I myself parroted this view, advanced notably by former G-man Ronald Kessler (see here, for example) in several public and private forums, but I always noted that al-Qaeda has a history of trying to influence elections, so we could expect some sort of intervention on their part as election day nears—if nothing else, the obligatory Bin Laden taped address to the American people—to remind us that the threat of a terrorist attack remains.  I have long been of the opinion that the question of timing in connection with a major terror attack is not so much determined by anything on our part.  In fact, I think the quick answer to the question of why we haven’t been hit since 9/11 is simply because the jihadists aren’t ready yet, and I was recently surprised to see that Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff  dogmatically concurs with my view:

Terrorist operations are undertaken when they are operationally ready.  They don’t wait for something that’s an external event, and they don’t rush it.

Be that as it may, October has come and gone without incident and we’re still waiting breathlessly for the Bin Laden tape, but we did have one minor October surprise, when an al-Qaeda website declared that if a pre-election terror attack would usher in a McCain presidency, al-Qaeda would in fact welcome it!  As liberals and leftist nut cases gleefully reported that McCain had been endorsed by our foremost enemy, Walid Phares and Raymond Ibrahim opined that al-Qaeda was just engaging in a bit of reverse psychology to scare American voters away from McCain.  As Dr. Phares put it:

Of course, such subtleties are too much for our leftist friends on the Internet.  It won’t alter either their political perception nor would any of this change their belief that a McCain election actually would be inimical to our efforts to destroy al-Qaeda—that is, if destruction of the terrorists is what they want.  They would much prefer to send them food, educate them, teach them how to improve their economies—all the things al-Qaeda could care less about.  What they want are dead westerners and anything that furthers that goal—say, endorsing the stronger candidate believing it will adversely affect his chances thus electing someone weaker than McCain—seems to escape our leftist friends who are doing a victory dance over the terrorists endorsing McCain.

Of course, all this confusion begs the question of which candidate is really the “weaker” when it comes to defending us from the threat of Islamic terrorism.  But before we get to that, let me just say that I think it is quite reasonable to take the al-Qaeda “endorsement” of McCain at face value.  That is, it’s quite possible that they see a president who is likely to continue squandering men and resources in Iraq and Afghanistan as preferable to one who may strengthen America by conserving resources and improving a faltering economy.  This is in fact exactly what they say, and Bin Laden made  clear in his address just prior to the 2004 elections—believed by both John Kerry and Bin Laden to be responsible for Kerry’s narrow defeat at the polls—that al-Qaeda’s goal is to bleed America dry by forcing it to commit its resources to a losing battle.

In other words, if Bin Laden’s address mimicking the talking points and platform of the Democrats scared some Americans into voting for Bush, maybe THAT was a bit of reverse psychology.  As much as it has been mocked by conservatives, the idea that al-Qaeda may want another unpopular president like Bush, hated by a great part of the American public, is worth considering.  Certainly al-Qaeda has reveled in mocking Bush and in seeing him deplored the world over, and it’s possible he’d continue on for years as their favorite villain if they had their way.  Obama, on the other hand, is an international phenomenon, commanding vast support across Europe and the third world, and it is conceivable that al-Qaeda and other Islamic radicals may fear that he is ultimately the more unifying and thus stronger candidate than Bush’s fellow Republican McCain.

Perhaps the one thing we don’t need to question is that a terror attack is coming sooner or later.  While everyone was arguing about what al-Qaeda supporters really meant by their preference for McCain, Democratic Vice-Presidential candidate Joe Biden predicted that a major terror attack would come within the first months of an Obama administration as a “test” of his “mettle.”  Republicans pounced on the statement as a blunder by the loose-lipped Biden, but almost immediately a Pentagon panel agreed with Biden and ordered preparations for a near-term crisis.  At the Pentagon, apparently, they not only believe Obama will be tested by a major terror attack but that his election is also a forgone conclusion.

So the real question, it seems, is how President Obama will respond to that crisis.  Here’s what Biden had to say:

Watch.  We’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.  I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate.  And he’s gonna need help.  And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you—not financially to help him—we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him.  Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially; it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.

That would be my guess.  It won’t be apparent initially, in the middle, or at the blunt end.  There can be no doubt that Biden is referring to turning the other cheek.  Obama will negotiate the crisis—you know, initiate dialog, find common ground, build bridges of understanding, that sort of thing.  In other words, he will let us be killed to avoid hurting the feelings of Muslims who don’t appreciate us going after jihadists.  As Jesse Jackson said:

Barack is determined to repair our relations with the world of Islam and Muslims. Thanks to his background and ecumenical approach, he knows how Muslims feel while remaining committed to his own faith.

Yeah.

Utopian socialism.

I haven’t prepared a midweek post because I’ve been expecting the Flight 93 blogburst which, for me at least, is not simply a matter of uploading.  I always prepare a brief but thoughtful introduction, and I thoroughly edit the essay and reformat the photographs, graphics, and animations.  Additionally, I code the blogburst with an array of meta data, optimizing the post for Google keyword, image, and blog searches.  It’s a dirty job.

Waiting for the missing blogburst to arrive has got me in another pensive mood, musing about what I’d rather be doing—thinking about why I do this at all.  And hearing the silly twit in the video express himself in song reminds me of all the incredibly gifted and talented bloggers and artists engaged in the counter-jihad and in defense of western traditions and values.  Inspired by the limitless human spirit, they used to spend much of their time in Bohemian pursuits, voraciously consuming great art, music, and literature and tirelessly honing their own aesthetic skills.  They had hoped, all of them, to write great books, to compose symphonies, to capture beauty on canvas, and to make powerful and unforgettable films.

All of us know which way the wind is blowing.  It’s a worldwide phenomenon—from Kenya, where they sing about Obama as if he is the promised savior of darkest Africa, to the gigantic German arenas where tens of thousands hail him as the long-awaited guarantor of harmony and understanding.

Now we’re the underground—the subterranean homesick—and we just want our world back.  We’re tired and exhausted.  We’ve had enough of this cold wind, carrying fascism and Bolshevism and jihadism to the four corners.  You don’t need a weatherman to know we’ve entered an ice age.

It is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius.
