Too many copies, not enough jihadis
I’m taking time to reflect on the developments of the last couple days and to savor the victory. Make no mistake: this time, this battle, we win, and radical Islam loses. Muslim extremists and their dhimmi collaborators thought they could suppress the film or at least prevent it from being widely viewed. Their threats and intimidation had the Dutch playing their cards close to the vest, and Internet giant Network Solutions checked and folded its hand. Pakistan’s best hackers were determined to crash whatever site hosted the film, and they flexed their muscles by showing YouTube what they could do.
Within moments of uploading the fifteen-minute film to the video-sharing service LiveLeak, Geert Wilders’ little “end around” put all that to rest. Now there aren’t enough jihadists in the world to make a dent in the number of copies of FITNA floating around in cyberspace. Thousands of us have flash video files of the film stored on our hard drives as well. In fact, the only reason I’m even posting the film here is because I don’t want to be the only guy with a blog not showing it!
I am doing one thing a little bit differently, though. I’ve been testing embedding Google video in my blog posts, and since the movie just appeared on Google as well, I believe I’m one of the first to post the Google embed rather than the one linked to LiveLeak.
How long before Google kills it?
Update: No sooner did I get this post up than LiveLeak killed the original video link due to death threats against their employees. Islamists are still conducting cyber-terrorism attacks against various movie hosts, as I understand it, but death threats are more like it. Next to carrying out death threats, it’s what they do best.

An appropriate way to kick off the new site.
So nice of you to visit, Michael, but I haven’t kicked anything but the tires yet.
